For her service work, Laney was awarded Citizen of the Year in 2018 by the West Texas Chamber of Commerce.

Additionally, she was awarded the Special Congressional Recognition award.

Sparkle and Rise Board Member – a charity for children empowering children

Laney has volunteered abroad in Cambodia, Peru, Ghana, Guatemala and Mexico – working with children to increase educational opportunities and working with women to create entrepreneurial opportunities. Women and children are the teachers of our next generations – when you give them tools and resources, you can change the future.

Laney has also created a project in our local East Austin neighborhood to provide necessities and hope to at risk children. For over 8 years this project routinely provides school supplies, coats, bikes, clothes and holiday parties to East Austin children.

Additionally, Laney created and coordinated a dinner program at Community First Village, a housing community for formerly homeless persons. For over 8 years, weekly dinners have been provided to our neighbors at the Village provided food and much needed fellowship.

In true Sparkle and Rise spirit, Laney includes the opportunity for children to volunteer, serve and connect with their own desire to serve others by including opportunities for children to participate and make a difference through these projects.

Laney has 27 years of experience in the estate planning legal field, an industry devoted to creating and implementing family legacies in life and after death.

Created a million dollar grossing company in less than 10 years.

Created, built and sold a national paralegal estate planning drafting service, meeting the document drafting needs of hundreds of law firms nationwide.

Co-created, built and sold a national team empowerment coaching and staffing company.

Co-created, built and sold a trust funding outsourcing company for law firms.

During 20+ years of estate planning experience, Laney has created effective drafting processes for over 300 law firms - new and long-time established estate planning practitioners - to fit their unique needs, including the development of customized language edits and options, as well as drafting design forms.

Managed a $1 Million+ grossing law firm for 13 years.

Collaborated to create one of the first-ever estate planning maintenance programs in the country.  Successfully grew and ran this program for years with over 1,000 clients participating.

Systemized The Family Protector Program™ (maintenance program) and traveled to over 30 law firms across the country to lead in-house training and implementation coaching.

Co-created Your Corporate Counsel™ (small business maintenance program) and traveled to over 15 law firms across the country to lead in-house training and implementation coaching.

Worked with software developers to create the first Actionstep- Lawyers With Purpose
 software program, as a LWP consultant, advocating for business processes needed to accomplish optimal workflow and drafting ease.
